Hi, I'm Sophia! My art is rooted in the pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness. I draw inspiration from the lives of the saints, sacred art, and the Great Masters (because yes, we must bring back real beauty ~ and no, a banana taped to a wall is not art). The Council of Trent states that artists are tasked with being "taciturn preachers"; and that art has the power to transcend earthly barriers in a special way so as to "delight, teach, and inspire". Creating is a distinctly human activity, a reflection of our Creator, and it's also quite fun. I create art from my little studio on my family's farm in Oregon, and in my non-existent freetime, I like to garden, swing dance, and cook dinner for my many siblings (and see what sort of stuff I can get them to eat without realizing it).

Monika Ryan is a writer and mother based in West Michigan. After studying theology, writing and Catholic Studies, she went on to earn her Early Childhood Montessori credentials and taught for five years. Now she writes for Catholic publications and dabbles in creative writing and sewing when her littles are sleeping. She loves reading good literature aloud to her children and discovering new authors. St. Therese, her confirmation saint, was one of the first saints she remembers learning about as a ten-year-old convert.

Sup’, I’m a graphic designer and digital artist based in rural southern Idaho. When I’m not bent over a computer or a sketch book, I’m out and about making coffee at events and markets with my mobile rig: The Prospector Coffee and Supply. Other than that I love crochet, reading, and traveling.

More than the art created, I’m fascinated by the people, culture, beliefs, and stories behind each piece. I’m a bit of a renaissance soul, so pursuing and studying art and design allows me to explore so many facets of this little mud ball we’re all stuck on. That and it’s truly an incredible feeling to evolve a random idea stuck in my head into something that exists in the world.
